Please would parents ensure that all children wear the correct school uniform each day to school. Our uniform is described in detail here: https://www.hollinsgrundy.com/parents-carers/uniform-and-jewellery/.
This particularly applies to wearing trainers. We have an increasing number of children wearing trainers instead of plain black shoes.
On PE days in Years 3 to 6 trainers are perfectly acceptable but would parents please make sure that children wear plain black leggings or plain black or grey tracksuit bottoms. We have an increasing number of children wearing camouflage tracksuits or jazzy leggings which are not part of our school uniform.
The only jewellery that children are able to wear in school is small stud earrings or a watch to tell the time. Internet enabled Fitbit type watches are not allowed.
Wearing a uniform to school creates a sense of belonging and signals that children are part of the same community. It also helps to create a calm productive atmosphere and support good behaviour.
Thank you.
