Unfortunately, just before lunchtime today we lost the electricity supply in the school kitchen. Luckily the food had been cooked, but it was important to serve  it immediately to ensure that it didn’t go cold. As a result all children had their meals slightly earlier than usual, starting from about 11.45.

All the children were really sensible and all staff helped out with the task of serving to ensure that this was done swiftly. An added difficulty was that the kitchen shutter was only open by about 6 inches, so the children had the exciting spectacle of having their dinners slid to them under the shutter.

As I have said everyone was very sensible and we are confident that the issue has now been resolved.
