It has come to light recently that the online conduct of some children in Year 5 and Year 6 has been less than ideal and in some cases potentially harmful. The behaviour has taken place out of school hours on social media chat groups and on the live chat elements in some online games.

There has been unkind talk which has been very rude to individuals within the groups and also the possibility that potentially inappropriate images have been shared.

Please could I encourage all parents to talk with their children about appropriate online behaviour and to ensure that they have access to their children’s phones and other devices and check their history regularly.
