The next day of planned strike action by the NEU teachers’ union is on Tuesday 28th February.

Negotiations are ongoing between the teaching unions and the Department for Education but my expectation is that the strike will go ahead and that school will be partially open in the same way as for the previous strike day.

Year 2, Year 4 and Year 6 will be open for children as usual on the 28th February and children in those classes should attend at the usual time.

Reception class, Year 1, Year 3 and Year 5 will be closed and children should not attend school on that day.

Owls Club will be open as usual for the children in Year 2 Year 4 and Year 6 who require places.

I understand that this will be disruptive for some families but the planning process has enabled the disruption to be kept at the minimum level possible.

Information about arrangements for future strike days (which are planned for Wednesday the 15th and Thursday 16th March will be given nearer the time.
