Hello everyone and welcome back!

All children have made a great start to the new school year, especially our new Reception class children. It has been really heartening to see children mixing with different classes again at playtimes and to have face to face assemblies once again. The opportunity to socialise and build relationships is a very important part of school life and is crucial to children’s development. They have missed so much over the last 18 months.

In order to  be able to continue operating the school in this way it is important that we continue to do as much as we can to reduce the chances of Covid-19 spreading. Please be vigilant about whether you or you children have any symptoms and get a PCR test if you are at all unsure. We will continue to contact you if children develop symptoms on site.

Welcome to all our new arrivals. We have new children in Reception (which is now full), Year 1, Year 3 and Year 4.

Finally, we are starting our programme of new class meetings this week which will give you the opportunity to meet your child’s new class teacher and for them to tell you about expectations, routines in your child’s new class and give you a chance to ask questions. The meetings will be held at 9.00am and 3.00pm in the school hall and at 6.00pm via MS Teams, please attend one, there’s no need to attend all three. For the face to face meetings in the hall please make sure that only one adult attends per child.
